I am like the other several complaints I have read, a lady named Katherine Jenkins called me in the morning around 10 AM, said I owed over $8,000.00 but they would settle for only $3,203.28 if I could pay it off in the next 4 hours. She said they were from pay day loans from way back in 2007. That's 6 years ago and my memory is not what it used to be, she threatened me with extradition to Houston Tx, jail time of at least 18 months, or $10,000.00 cash bail. I informed her there was no way possible I could come up with that much money not the $3,000 at this time, and certainly not the $10,000, she put me on hold, came back with an offer of only paying $728.30 and them payments of $618.75 for the next 4 months to pay the balance in full. I explained that I am on social security and I don't have that kind of money every month, she almost said tough that's the deal take it or leave it. Well I didn't want to go to jail, so I now can not pay my rent this month or my utilities but she got her $728.30, and she did change the payments from 4 to 5 months at $494.99. Now that I have read this site, I have to figure out what I can do or how I can fix this. I fell so betrayed, I would have been willing to work with them without all the scare tactics and undue stress on me and my family.
