I have been receiving calls from this place called Legal Mediation Practices blowing smoke and talking about throwing me in jail for my outstanding pay day loan debt. I have 261.48 to pay, which is way less than I borrow. I have paid them more than half of the amount that owe to ACE Cash Express, and now they are trying to tell me that they will throw me in jail??? This is to all the folks that are dealing with the same situation either here in Texas or anywhere else in the US-They are full of it. Next time they call you, tell them you know you're rights and have been recording the conversations, ask to speak to their supervisors, tell them you know that there is no jail time for outstanding debts (bc that would mean that more than half of the US population would be in jail!?!?!??!?! DUUUUH!!!) and let them know that you're lawyer is already working on this. If they ask you for any personal information that they do not have, DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. If they ask you for your lawyer info, DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM and tell them he/she will be contacting them as soon as possible. Keep paying your debt/loan off until you are done, and make sure that you go back and pay it from where you have borrowed it. These people are a RIP-OFF and need to be sued for all the threats and warnings they have been giving to people. They CANNOT garnish your wages at any time. If you need more proof find and read the Fair Debt Collection Act! You can find all the things that us citizens are protected by. This means next time they call you can simply tell them that you know you Fair Debt Collection Rights and what they would like to talk to you about next? See if they stutter or drop the case and maybe give you some more time to pay off the loan! =) And don't you hate when they say GOOD LUCk and hang up... Plllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeease! Ugh!!! Toodles!!!
