My father had a phone call offering a magazine with £1 one off payment, to cover postage, to date he has had three payments taken from his bank account one of £1.00 and two of £79.99. (and no magazine) these payments are noted as "safe services" on his bank statement. I have contacted safe services - which is a domestic abuse charity - they are aware of this scam, but unfortunately have been unable to stop it.
