This company called me and pretended they were from Microsoft Main Server - certified technician and then they proceeded to tell me they knew the ID on my computer. I was very suspicious and told this lady Jennifer Smith over and over again, how could I be sure she was not a hacker.
How I could tell something was not to be trusted: she showed me that my AVG was not "compatible" with my system. This is bs because when I went into AVG I was perfectly capable of choosing the right system in the AVG software to make it compatible with my computer.
She wrote a few things on wordpad on my computer and when I wanted to print that out, she panicked and closed the file. This was a big red flag to me. And then a man started to "threaten " me that if I wanted to print that out I would not receive an email invoice. That is when it was totally clear to me that this was a total scam. So I did not sign up for their service.
There were a few things wrong with my computer and they may have caused it. I am not sure. So I called a different company and they fixed it for me.
