This company is in the habit of misclassifying employees as independent contractors. The job ad they placed on craigslist was for a farm labor position. You are really being hired to sort the brass that they buy and sell. They are not paying the employees overtime, nor do they have worker's comp. These people working do not fall under the category of independent contractor whatsoever. Jeff and Melissa are simply taking advantage of some young people in a low income area that just need jobs. They have these workers using their own vehicles to run their errands and do not reimburse them. They hired these people at $8.00/hr. Now all of a sudden they have changed the pay to piece work so they are now paying the employees even less than before. They also do not offer a decent working restroom for the employees nor a place to wash their hands properly. Jef and Melissa are definite crooks and need to be stopped.
