New Ruling by the North Carolina Employment Security Commission:
Blue Lion rips off its workers by saying they are independent contractors. Blue Lion saves thousands of dollars by not paying taxes, Social Security or unemployment. So, guess who pays the IRS? You! You will have to pay your share AND their share at tax time. You also won't be eligible for unemployment benefits.
Several ex-employees recently protested and the NC ESC has now ruled that Blue Lion workers are NOT independent contractors. They are W2 employees. Don't let Blue Lion pay you like an independent contractor. It's a scam!
