When I advertised for a sale, someone using name John Bishop offered to buy it, and then send in a regular check more than what I had asked for, and then requested to have the balance sent back immediately via west union.
The check can be available for cash in 2 days, however, it can be invalid after 7~10 days by the bank. Be careful. This is a very common scam.
