I am a patient of Dr. Michael Scavina. I was paying my bill monthly in the same amounts as when i had previously paid his office with no problems. The payment were monthly and in the same amount. Then with no warning i was put in collections for the last payment of $ 20.00. They had just cashed a check for the same amount the week prior and then i get a collection statement. I believe this is probably not against the law but certainly evidence of bad faith and bad business practice as a Cardiologist should know some money is better than no money especially after heart surgery. If they wanted more they should have contacted me and told me that up front.
