After I placed an order with Costco.com few months ago, pop-up window came up stating I'd get a FREE anti-aging lotion for $4.95 (covering shipping and handling.) Sounded great so I took an offer. Last two months I saw two charges totaling $184.93 on my credit card. I finally called the company @ 888-899-1545 & was told first charge of $89.92 in January was for a shipping fee & handling charge. (I thought it was $4.95) Customer service rep, Ella, said "It was a FREE 14 DAY TRIAL offer and I had to send it back within 14 days!" I don't recall any paper stating that anywhere in the box when I received the lotion. She continued on to say "I will give you the merchandise for 50% off of the second month's charge ($94.91), credit my account -$44.96, & cancel my order. I continued to say I would like to send the lotion back & get a money back. She refused to let me do so. After I got off the phone with Ella, I informed a customer service rep @ Costco. They heard about the pop-up offer but Costco cannot do anything about it. Yes, it was my mistake but I just wondering how many people were damn enough like me take up on the offer. The company is a big rip off.
