On March 3, I had a problem with my HP Printer, I went to the HP site and followed a link Cobetech247who on their website claim to be Microsoft certification, for tech support. They took remote control of my PC and fixed? The problem. Then they sent me an email to authorize American Express to pay them $299.95 for 7/24 support for all (3) computers in my home. I did so. The phone number they gave me is 1-888-328-2996. However the next day I tried all day to reach them, and same message "the person you are trying to reach is unavailable". I also went to back to the HP support and the link was gone. After 3 days of fruitless effort, I called American Express and disputed the charge. It turns out they had received a charge of $300.00 from a company called New Tech Experts. I went to their web site, no phone number. It is a NEW co.incorporated in Delaware 5 months ago. I called Amex back and they had a phone number for them (1-302-353-4585). I called, and I received the identical voice message as before from Robetech247!
American Express is trying to check for the dispute. But I think it is critical for these two? Companies for fraud. I took my PC to a reliable techie and he cleaned it up, however, I am still out $90.00 for the clean-up and possibly the $300.00 on my Amex bill
