I filed taxes for my brother and first went to nys free efile site to get a list of free efile companies. Turbotax was one of those so I went to efile there. After filling out all the forms At the end they tried to charge 51 dollars for just efiling even though I went through free efile. I had to go to another site and file with them and spent another 20 minutes to finally file for free with the same refund. I did not pay turbo tax but I am sure many other unsuspecting filers have. They should be removed from free efile for the state and federal for this purpose because it is false advertisement. And I should be3 reembersed for my time and my brothers time
