I locked my keys in my car at a facility. We called several locksmiths in the area and got the best quote from this company. It was $29.00 to come out and $35.00 to unlock the car. They were to arrive in 20 minutes.
It took 2.5 hours to arrive. The guy opened that car in less than 2 minutes and then told me to pay $100.00, instead of the quoted rate. He could give no reason why the cost was higher. No special equipment was needed other than a long bar to unlock the door.
I got a generic receipt, with no company name on it or reason for purchase which my insurance company will not accept.
Trying to call the company to resolve the pricing issue, the lady simply stated the price was whatever the locksmith determined it would be at the site.
It was also concerning that the car he was in had no company logo and had a friend in it, with just lock opening tools in the back seat.
