Impress Vacations
Consumer Report

I received a call from a Calgary number 587 315 1514 from a "Janelle" notifying me that I was a lucky 3% of thousands to win a 14 day trip to Orlando, Daytona, Mexico plus a bonus 4 days to Las Vegas. This trip was sponsored by Disney as a part of their word of mouth marketing. When she started quoting my home address, DOB, and email address, I asked her where she got this information. Apparently I did when I booked my hotels and flights online via Disney/Disney-affiliated websites in the past year, I was automatically entered in. When I asked which website she specifically pull this information, she couldn't tell me. She proceed to tell me that registration is $280 and that this arrangement is completely transferrable and flexible to my schedule. Then she recited the last four digits of my credit card and needed the full 15 digits for registration, which she up'd to $575 for my mandatory second guest's fee as well. When I asked if I could be emailed this information first, she said that one will be emailed to me immediately after this call. Foolishly, I gave her my credit card info. When I hung up, I felt something was not right and I immediately got a call from my bank's security department, saying that there was suspicious activity on my credit card billed to Impress Vacations. I was forwarded to a Disputes Centre rep who advised me to email a cancellation and refund the registration amount, since they never told me the cancellation policy. After the email was sent, I got an automated response stating that "Noelle the Personal Vacation Coordinator" will call me to arrange the itinerary within the next 24-48 hrs. The rep at my Dispute Centre cancelled my credit card and told me to wait 15 days for Impress to void the transaction or wait for the amount to show up on my account before the Dispute Centre can help me further. This all happened in the last 3 hrs and I cant believe I was so gullible to let his company scam me.
