I took out a membership after a cold call, about a month later, on a long weekend I received a call from a person who was a personal account manager, I was debited $290 approx for this call tp me credit card. I later noticed that a further amount of $9.90 was taken from my credit card.
I immediately contacted the fraud department at my bank and they advised they would recover the funds. Also on their advice cancelled my credit card and was issued a new card with new numbers 3 days later. This has effectively prevented any more funds being taken form my account. I would recommend anyone havine unauthorised funds taken from their account by Stanford Who's Who or any other organisation to get their cards cancelled and new ones issued. IOt costs nothing, only a phone call, and only takes 3 days to get new cards issued.
