Capital First
Consumer fraud ripoff, rip-off business from hell, deceptive company, corruption

I received a phone call promising a MasterCard with a $2500 credit limit. I was told there would be a $29.95 processing fee and that it would be debited to my checking account. I was very reluctant, but being I have had a bankruptcy, credit cards are hard to come by.
I was told by the agent that I would have 7 days to review the information and cancel if I wanted to. I was also told that there would be a 99.95 and a 59.95 charge if I decided to take the card after the 7 day review.

After two days they took the 29.95 from my account. After ten days I had not received anything from them. I called CFB and they said they would send a new packed and guaranteed me that no funds would be taken until I received my 7 day review.in the next 10 days I called 6 more times and they continued to guarantee no funds would be taken. On 08-07-02 a charge for 99.95 and 59.95 was taken from my account.

The next day I called CFB and they still guaranteed me no funds would be taken. When I told them they had taken the funds they said I could only get the 99.95 back and the 50.95 was non-refundable and I would have to write to another address to get a refund. Keep in mind I still hadn't received the packet to review.

On 08-17-02 I received the packet and called CFB to cancel and they still will not refund all the money that they took without authorization.

This company is purposely not sending the information on time and then using it as an excuse to take peoples money.
On top of everything else the card they are offering is a pay as you go card not a true credit card.

My Advise to everyone is never trust any kind of bank, they will all try to scam you one way or another.

Signed
Ripped off
