WASTE MANAGEMENT:
I have been a customer with you for approx 15-18 years and I just canceled service. I sent a e mail to customer service back in October asking about this environmental charges / gas surcharges as we have over 111 houses on this street and you service many of them. I cannot understand why you charge over 16.00 $ for gas on everyone's bill... Ridiculous! I never received a reply back from WM. I forgot to follow up on it with WM and my husband got sick just before thanksgiving thru Christmas (hospital stay) I paid the bill OCT NOV DEC in December... Then I received a e mail that my services were resumed at $53.48 charge (35 for resume fee plus taxes admin fee and environmental charges) ARE YOU JOKING??? NO CALLS from WM telling me to pay bill (reminder) I sent an e mail to WM immediately telling them to cancel us ASAP! And to bill me ONLY FOR three weeks that WM picked up my trash on January 4, January 11 and January 18.inSTEAD, I received a bill for $142.87 (resume charges & fees plus Jan Feb & March billing 2013!) Theres no way we can pay this nor keep up with these fees you charge.
I called WM Monday 1/21 to ask if they canceled us and I was told that yes they did and they were coming by the housemonday 1/21 to pick up the tote and bins!!! No one called me nor did they send an e mail telling me this... What terrible service...
In any case we are senior citizens on a budget and we hardly ever have a lot of trash each week... I never signed a written contract with WM therefore I would like you to just send me a bill for just the 3 weeks that you did pick up our trash (January 4,11 & 18 2013.) we cannot pay these 3 months (Jan FEb & March) nor the resume fee... Obviously the customer service refuses to answer my complaints... I hope you do the right thing and correct thsi billing issue asap
