I'm an employee at CVS and each time a customer presents their 20% off coupon they're confused about why it only applies to non-sale items. I try to explain the company policy but anger from the customer is always the result. Today I had a more than livid customer wave her coupon in my face and demand why I was being rude and not honoring her coupon! Customers behind her looked in awe as she continued her behavior. She asked to see my manager because of my "rudeness" and one of the other customers in line met with my manager to stick up for me, seeing as he was witness to her childish actions. I think it should clearly state in bold type that these coupons are not good on sale items, or just allow the extra discount. I deal with a lot of abuse from customers because of corporate rules, and it's not part of my job description. Please handle the issue to prevent chaos from ensuing. Thank you in advance.
