I applied for a loan on-line not realising that they were a broker. I was asked for my card details as they wanted to take out a small amount of money to verify who I was. They took a pound and refunded it, but I then realized that a couple of days later, after a guarantor loan came through that they then took another charge of £69-95. I emailed regarding this and they said that it was because I had been offered a loan (which I couldnt take) and it was their fee foe doing so. They informed me I had agreed to the terms and conditions on-line and verbally and in there was the information regarding the fee. I applied for the loan as I needed the money and am now in more debt due to an unautherised overdraft. Is there any way of recouping my money such as am I not entitled to a cooling off period?
