In May my total water bill was $98 and some odd change until I receive a letter from the water company stating that I will be receiving a bill in a few days for so many hundreds of gallons of water that I was not charged for, due to the meter being malfunctioned, which they would be replacing it with a new meter as well. (NOT MY FAULT) My business is a carwash which my father opened up over 20 years ago and My husband and I now own and operate it. During this meter malfunction time period, We also had those bad storms in which caused a state of emergency. We was not washing cars for quite sometime, so which previous bills is the water company coming up with their figures outta the last 20 years because we never had storms that had us shut down like we were, and we are a seasonal business. When I received my next water bill, it was almost $1000. Went from $98 to $1000! Of coarse, The sanitary board had to match that figure when all I owed them was $40. These utility companies are saying I owe over $2000 for each, which is over 4 grand... I have 3 boys that Im raising and that business is our only income and what they are doing is not right. My kids have suffered as well as my husband and I. I need help
