I worked for Executive Marketing Solutions, Pittsburgh, PA for 5 months.
During those 5 months I was unethically deceived about the company and its opportunities. During the first month I was trained and promoted to "Account Manager" where I had my own Sam's Club or Best Buy to drive to everyday (after driving to Monroeville every morning). At the store I was expected to pester people everyday about their cable or satellite service. I would be screamed at, ignored, and harassed by customers—all complaining of terrible experiences with "the DirecTV people" that have worked in the stores in the past.
At first I was brainwashed to be excited about the business and all of the opportunities that came with it. I had a chance to travel to Dallas for quartlerly "leadership meetings" and Puerto Rico for a "vacation" and awards ceremony.
I dedicated so much time and money into this job, thinking it would eventually pay off.
