Akirimpress... An all-around bad EBAY seller. Buyers should avoid him if they have the chance. Why? Here:
First off, he charges exhorbitantly for shipping. He sells video games and comics (what can i say i'm a nerd!), which aren't very heavy. The initial item won gets a $4.95 shipping quote. Each additional item adds $2.99 to the shipping total.
So, for example, if you order 4 nintendo games (which, including packing materials, weighs just over one pound), then you will be charged $4.95 2.99 2.99 2.99= $13.92 for shipping!!!
I have sold on EBAY before and can attest that for 2-day PRIORITY MAIL under 1 pound, it costs $3.85. Furthermore, 2-day PRIORITY MAIL slightly over a pound (maybe 1-2 pounds is this window; i'm not sure) is $6.70.
So this akirimpress character keeps more than half of the shipping money for himself? That's dishonest, but not morally reprehensible! Well, there's more...
Once your payment is sent and received, it is customer for an EBAY seller to mail you item out within 1-2 days.in my case, payment was sent 6/9. Thanks to USPS consistency, i assume it was received 2 business days later. I received the package on 8/23, over 2 months later!
During this lengthy time i had tried to email the seller several times to inquire into the status of my videogames. I received no responses. I noticed on his sight that he urges:
"Payment should be made within 7 days of auction ending. Paypal welcomed at [email protected]. We No Longer Combine Shipping on Comics.international rates do apply. Items must end on the same day in order to be combined. Please allow 5 to 8 daysfor shipping. No emails Please. We strive to get your items to you ASAP once payment is made. Thanks!"
Oh, so don't email him. Ok! No problem! Sorry about that!
I began to look into his feedback to see how he treated other customers, and there were lots of complaints. Many of the complaints specified that he never even delivered their items at all.
And here's the worst part...
Look at his feedback rating. It's 95.0%. Sounds pretty good, huh? That's an A, right? Well, other EBAY swindlers like jewelrybyezra or landofjewelry have around 95% feedback ratings too! Sure, they have thousands of negative reviews from buyers they've ripped off while akirimpress has only ripped off 60 so far. But he's definitely ripping people off at a rate equivalent to those other nefarious EBAY dealers!
And why is their feedback rating so good despite all the people they've cheated?
Because EBAY cattle are so afraid to get bad reviews that they will write a positive review just so they won't get retaliatory negative feedback that they feel will irreversibly damage their online reputations.
After analysis of akirimpress' feedback (mostly by comparing the "feedback received" and "feedback left for others" columns), i noticed that every single ebayer who left negative or even neutral (!) feedback for our seller was in response given NEGATIVE feedback by him, often with his accompanying remarks: "IT WAS LOST IN THE MAIL. Grow up. Don't be so childish. DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT." (He would also send you an email, something short and clever like: "You are a real Jackass!")
So if akirimpress and other bad sellers like him realize they can play the averages and only rip off 5% of the population, or gamble that only 5% of the people he rips off will be brave enough to give him negative feedback, then they will keep on doing this and EBAY will probably do nothing to stop them.
So it's buyer beware.
