I purchased a brand new emachine computer on 12/30/03 from best buy with a 3 year in home warranty. The hard drive failed on 1/26/04. After having to pay long distance charges on my phone bill for 4 calls to them, they sent a tech out and it was replaced on 2/18/04. Once again, the hard drive went up on 8/21/04. I have placed 2 long distance phone calls that i was "disconnected" after being on hold. I have also contacted the company through email with no advail. So here i sit with a computer that is only 8 months old. Paid $1,300.00 (including "warranty"). And have only had it for a total of 6 months use which averages out to be almost a car payment. I will NEVER purchase a emachines product and and warn anyone out there looking not to do so either!!!
