I purchased an eMachines M3509 laptop a year ago with a 3-year warranty. It overheats all the time. Won't stay on for more than 20 minutes.
EMachines admitted a design flaw with this model, but will not replace it, and will not honor their warranty.
I spoke to Joseph (Baird?) and his supervisor Faith (Valencia?) on their online chat. Faith refused to call me, or give me a number that I could call her at. She refused to fix the problem.
I am very disappointed with this company, and will never purchase another eMachines or Gateway computer again. I will be filing a law suit to recover the cost of the laptop and the time I have spent trying to resolve this issue.
After doing some online research, it seems many, many people have had overheating problems with eMachines laptops... No surprises there..
I won't skimp, and will purchase a next time.
