Phil Shapiro, aka WebCountry, aka One Dollar Hosting routinely attempts to collect money from former clients. Their scam asserts that the client didn't cancel their service properly according WebCountry's "policies". If they try to collect from you, look up "Webcountry" on the California Business Entities Search webpage.
You will see that Webcountry has been suspended since 2000.
Remind Webcountry and/or any attorneys, collection agents, or scam artists that doing business on behalf of a suspended corporation can't take you to court and that even threatening to do so is a criminal act. If an attorney calls you, ask him/her if they would enjoy being reported to the California Bar Association. They'll drop you like a hot potato.
