Worst customer service - 4-5 or 6 transfers and more than an hour of hold

I have posted my complaints before about ATT, and only continue to because COX is almost as bad, this is what happens when corporations are able to monopolize services. They continue to provide the most convoluted customer service possible. Every single time I have a problem that cannot be addressed online, I call them because I have no other choice. And basically every single time I have to call them, I end up getting transfered AT LEAST 3 times, if not 4 or 5. Currently I am actually on hold with a supervisor, which would be the 5th person at ATT that I have spoken to about a VERY VERY simple problem (I am trying to "link accounts", which seems like a simple task, as they have a part of their site supposedly created just for this purpose).in any case, regardless of the errors that they cannot seem to figure out, their customer service is absolutlely HORRIBLE and incapable of sending someone who needs help to the correct service professional in the first place.

The problem is that the people we talk to cannot and will not do anything about my complaints to them, they simply DO NOT CARE and are completely detached from the giant decentralized corporate entity that has not a
clue about what it means to care about their customers. I've now been on the phone with att for 1:16 minutes, the last 25 of that with a "Supervisor", who has had me on hold for the past almost 10 minutes.

-endless department transfers
-incapable, uneducated service "professionals"
-ridiculous hold times
-detached, unmotivated customer service (relative to actually fixing the problem on ATT's end)
-they are recklessness with customer's time (wasting my time at work when I could be working or eating lunch or whatever)
-in capable of offering a credit for the trouble, stress and time that they have wasted without me having to ask for it
