I too tried to resolve a slow running laptop by by "trying" paretologic and another of their products last december, did not work and my laptop soon stopped functioning correctly, NOT a hardware problem.
Today Paypal kindly paid them a yearly subscription which cleared the few pound I had left for New Years Eve. I rang Paypal who said I had authorised a recurring payment, It was well hidden in a part of paypal most casual users would not look at. I told them if I was aware that was there it would have been deleted immediately. I have no intention of using their product on my current computers, and have asked for an immediate refund. If they had sent an E-mail warning of the pending payment it would have been dealt with, but I believe they make a fortune off people like me who are unaware of the annual subscription. How many "well off" people who don't have to count the pennies continue with these payments.
