I was stupid to not check this website out.
I ordered what looked like a beautiful cocktail dress from this site. It was $60. Not bad for a new dress. But not dirt-cheap, either. I also wanted it for the holidays so I pad $44 for a rush. I thought this high but wanted the dress.
I ordered a size 16, my size, in a not-third-world-country.
After I placed the order I received an email saying that they had sent the order to their factory.in CHINA! Well, I have ordered some really nice costume jewelry from China and it was fine so even though I had misgivings, I let the order stand. My mistake.
The dress came and the zipper is cheap. Probably wouldn't last. Also the snaps at the top of the zipper and at the neck of the dress were poorly sewn-on hooks and eyes. Barely sewn on!!!
And the dress is more like a 12 than a 16!
When I complained they said I pay to send it back to them, at an extra fee of $25 plus postage, and they will determine if it is not the correct size. If it isn't they will replace it... Or maybe give a refund, but THEY MAKE THE DETERMINATION! You can bet they will say it is fine.
IF they decide I am wrong, and the garment is standard size, they will just mail it back to me. AT MY EXPENSE! They also said that if it is the WRONG size after all, I have to pay for the postage for the replacement garment to be mailed from China AND pay the extra $25.
No standing behind their products here! This would cost more to return than I can afford.
What a rip-off!!!
