I have been billed monthly $! 4.95 each for several months by three companies. (1) privacyplus (2) simple pleasures (3) galleria usa. These companies are under an umbrella company called MemberWorks, Inc.
I have been unable to cancel charges through my credit card compny. The credit card company told me my number was acquired through my e-mail address. I called AOL and was told straight from the horse's mouth that MemberWorks is an affiliate company of AOL.
I never authorized AOL to charge anything to my credit card other than my monthly online expense. Also I have never recieved anthing from these three companies.
This fraud should be on 60 Minutes CBS and prosecuted to the maximum. It appears the only way to cancel these fraudulent charges is to cancel my AOL account and get a new credit card number.
