Memberworks is a phone solicitiation company. Your credit card company sales them your account information and they solicite you.
They have your account number so they can bill you without you giving out any information.
The problem is that many times they put you in the list without your knowledge. They send you no information but they charge your credit card or debit card numerious times. The charges use to have MWI in the name they have stopped doing that.
The charge on my latest card just had Essentials and a phone number. Upon checking I found that they have been billing me once a year for three years. The bill arrived at the time we were on vacation so the first two years we throght it was a gas company.
I know of three other people that have been ripped off in this way. I have been ripped off
twice.
I called and they promised to refund the money.
We will see.
Any charge on your card with a phone number
beside it should be investigated.
