Refuse to pay refund that was agreed to

On May 19 I received my new DSL equipment from ATT. I was having trouble activating the DSL and since it was late evening and ATT phone lines were closed for the night I went on ATT's web site using my old dial up connection. The ATT trouble shooting section directed me to justanswer.com. Justanswer stated that "experts" were online to answer my question. The charge seemed reasonable so I posted my question about how to activate my DSL and agreed to the charge, especially since there was a cancellation/refund option..

After waiting several hours, after midnight, I cancelled the request and asked for a refund. The site stated my refund was approved. I received an e-mail stating the refund was processed.
What's funny is the next morning I called ATT direct and they activated my DSl immediately, and no charge. However, also the next day a charge appeared on my Visa account but no refund. I assumed the refund would take several days. No refund ever appeared and after over a week I e-mailed them as to where the refund was.
They replied it was given the same time as the charge and should have cancelled the charge.

After 5 e-mail requests to them, even including a copy of the Visa charge posted, they still refuse to acknowledge that they owe me a refund. Even their replies almost accuse me of being a liar, very rude. So to-date after over a month they have my money for no service whatsoever. Either 1. Their "expert" had no clue about an answer and ignored the question. Or 2. They never intended to answer and just took my money.

Well, the charge is only a piddly $28 which certainly my wallet won't even notice. But the point is they claim they did the refund, which they did not. So looks like I've been ripped off for good.

Lesson learned from this is patience! There are no doubt dozens of ripoff sites like this run by smart people who make their living by fraud. I was in too big a hurry to get something done.instead of checking the internet first or just waiting for the next day I got took.

Don't you get took by justanswer.com. A ripoff site for sure!!
