This company has put out substandard software for the iPhone. I heard great things and still do about the drivesafe. Ly (iSpeech) application for the Blackberry. The company put up a facebook page letting users discuss the app and it provided the company with feedback on the consumer demand for an iPhone version. It seemed to work so well on the BB that as soon as it came out for the iPhone I rushed to download it. During the setup it prompted me for an "in app" purchase to release all of the features. I wanted it. I paid $9 for the in app purchases which is almost the highest amount I've ever paid for an app. Definitely it is the most I've ever paid for an app that simply did not work as advertised. As if I could wait to be humiliated more, I went online to their site to purchase a subscription for and additional $13. Thinking that throwing more money at the situation would yield me some right to relief, I spent all. I received a "promo code" that the app won't take or if it does it doesn't indicate acceptance. No features were unlocked beyond what it did when I first loaded it. The voice activation button is shown but when you select it, the app takes you to an "in app" purchase screen to buy the extra features. But wait! I already purchased them. Why is it still asking me to buy them? I contacted technical support to no avail. They have promised updates to fix the problems with the app but nothing yet. There are over 100 negative complaints in the iTunes App Store and everyone complains no refunds or update is coming! How can they do this and I believe the company must employ a suppression algorithm to keep negative comments from appearing on the web. To this date I've not found anything about how iPhone users like the app appearing on the web after the release date. All negative comments are only in the app store. Funny huh?
