I purchased an Archos Recorder at Best Buy in Fort Wayne IN in Dec. It was clearly marked as $50 rebate in the store. The stores computer printed out the rebate form. I mailed it in and was denied because they say "It wasn't filed during the rebate period." I called the number on the rebate form Dec and was told it was too late to do anything about it. I called Best Buy and they said I would need to call Archos. I have copies of everything I mailed in.
I gave up on this issue because I don't have a lot of time to spend prying $50 out of these people. It will hurt me more than them to go after this on my own.
However, if there is a lawyer out there who would like to form a class and sue these guys for enough to make it really hurt, I would gladly provide my information.
