I purchased a HP dv6 from HP shopping online and right out of the box I plugged it in and the fan was noisy. I called customer service to let them know... They e-mailed me a pre-paid shipping label and told me as soon as I dropped the noisy computer off at Fed Ex they would be notified and overnight me a replacement.
The following day I dropped the damaged laptop off at Fed Ex and called HP and they explained they would not send out the replacement until they received the damaged one. They lied to me.
I am really worried because since I received the damaged laptop I have researched HP products and customer service. I have found that HP laptop fans are noisy and it is difficult to get the situation rectified.
