Beware! I ordered a Beretta model 92 centurion 9mm pistol from their website FloridagunWorks.com on Feb 19. They acknowledged by e-mail that the $477.95 Postal money order was received. I was contacted saying that the gun I ordered was out of stock and they offered another model for the same price or I could wait until they got the model in that I ordered. I chose to wait for awhile. A
Fter asking several times about the status of my order and being told they were "close to getting one" I contacted them and cancelled may order on April 24 and asked for a refund. They acknowledged my request and promised to process my refund. I waited 2 weeks (May 9) and asked them again, but they were "on vacation" and promised to process my request on their return. I contacted them again on June 2 with the promise of they would "check on the status" and get back with me. June 10 I contacted them by e-mail asking for a phone number so I could talk to someone in charge about my refund, with no response for a phone number. I asked again on June 25 for the immediate refund of my money saying I would complain to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and other organizations if my money was not returned immediately.
They acknowledged that it should have been processed already and promised to rush it ASAP, but to allow some time as they were out of town. With still no refund, I contacted them again July 11, and told them their time was up. It has been very clear for sometime that they are not running a respectable business and I may have no alternative other than to complain. I don't want any more consumers being taken by these con-artists.
