My son ordered from the website nov. 16 and payed via paypal. I initially contacted seller when we didn't receive the item after waiting the initial 2 weeks as noted on their website. He was very apologetic and assured me it had been shipped out on Nov. 20th and to allow up to 21 business days for it to arrive. He even emailed me once asking if we received it yet. When I let him know after the 21 days that it hadn't arrived, he said he was arranging for a second shipment.
He kept in great contact with me, I would get email responses within a day and thought he was showing great customer service... instead what he was doing was keeping me lulled into thinking the problem was being taken care of while my window of recovery slipped by. The last email I got from him he told me a second shipment had been placed and I would have a tracking number.
It was only when I asked for the tracking number that I no longer heard from him.By this time of course I have missed my 45 day paypal window for recovery, though I tried to appeal to them with extenuating circumstances... As I had NO REASON to file a claim during the alloted time because I was working through the dispute with the seller (or so I believed). Paypal responded with simply once again telling me I did not file in time.
Please, somebody learn from our mistake... I will at least feel better about our loss if I know we prevented someone else from being defrauded by these losers.
