I received the package on 8/24/10, package printed "not for sale"

I purchased this Polo Green Cologne advertised as a regular item as a gift. How can I give this as a gift when the package clearly states, "Not for Sale."? What do I do now? I really need to give this gift, but am I supposed to pay for something that says, "not for sale"? I have not opened the packaging to see if it looks like the authentic brand. What do I do now? Please advise.
