I was shopping for a bottle of cologne for a birthday gift, and came across the salonperfume.com website. I ordered Mugler Cologne on their website and they sent me a bar of soap. When I emailed them about the error, they said:
We are sorry about what happened. The item you select is a bar soap (Thierry Mugler Deodorant Mineral 3.4 oz). The picture that was in our website when you click the view photo is incorrect. Maybe that's is why you got confuse. The cologne is the EDT spray which is available in 2.6 ($35.99) and 3.4 oz ($42.99). We will send you an RMA no. And shipping label for the return of the item. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

If the description of the item says 1 x THIERRY MUGLER COLOGNE and there's a picture of a cologne bottle, how is it that I'm confused?
Your website described the product as cologne,
Your website showed a picture of a cologne bottle,
My order confirmation says it was cologne,
The shipping confirmation says it was cologne,
But you sent a bar of soap...
I saw the products that were labeled "soap" and it had a picture of a bar of soap on it. Now that I've purchased the item you advertised on your site, you are changing the price and the contents of the product, which is utterly appalling.
The only resolution they have is to send the item back for a refund, but that doesn't help me give the gift I wanted to give. Addtionally their "legal disclaimer" on the website says:
We are not responsible for any typographical errors or inaccuracies set forth in this website. The information, prices, and discounts set forth herein are subject to change without notice.
Please also note that product pictures may vary.
So they are saying they can call a bar of soap cologne, AND show a picture of cologne, but they aren't responsible for it... Total ripoff!!
