Back in Aug. Of 2003 is when this happened. I have giving them all this time to give me my money. They have not to this day and this is what they did to me.
I ordered a program called ebay Solutions for $ 29.95 which was supposed to help me get going on ebay to sell some products. Along with the package came an option from Surplus Alert to open a store front to sell these products. I had 7 days to review the package and if I did not like it I could return it.
On Aug. 26th 03 I did return the package. When I called Ebay Solutions to let them know I was returning their package they told me to call Surplus Alert and cacell my store front or I would be charged the $29.95 for the store. I called as soon as I was off the phone with Ebay Solutions and all I got was a busy sound.
From Aug. 26th 10 am to 11pm EST all I got was a busy sound. On Aug 27th from 9 am to 11 pm EST I got the same thing. And I kid you not, I called them every half hour during this time. Busy is all I got. On the 28th of Aug. I finally got through only to get voice mail so I left a message stating my name, address, phone number, and I wanted to cancell my store front.
The also gave me a web addresss to go to to cancell my store front. I tried over and over to get on it with no results just to be sure they recived my message. I never got there. They also gave me a password to get to my store front which I never used because after reviewing every thing i did not want it so i never used it.
I thought all was fine untill on 09/29/03 I recived a letter from my bank saying my account was over drawn by $27.57 and they where charging me $30.00 fine for that overdraft for a total of $57.57. When I got this I had one day to put $57.57 in my account or I would be charged another $30.00 every 4 days untill my account was caught up. Thank god for good friends which lent me the $60.00 to put into my account.
I found out it was Surplus Alert who billed my account after I told them to cancell my store front. The excuse they gave me was, we tried to call you on Aug. 29th to confirm your closing but there was no answer. At this time I asked them if they tried to call me again, they said no. So I guess sence they did not get ahold of me it was ok to bill my account the $29.95. What a bunch of crap, and I am keeping it simple.
Anyway they did credit my account the $29.95 because they admitted they were wrong in doing that. I told them about the $30.00 overdraft charge and I was told stright out i will not get it by a supervisor. I told her I would seek a law suit and she told me, go ahead you won't win and hung up on me.
Well after that I tried to find out who the President of the Company was because i wanted to tell him about what was going on and he might see the right way of doing things. They refused to give out any info on that at all. So I proceded to write a letter and send it certified mail so I no they recived it. It came back yesterday 11/13/03. I sent it out on Oct. 9th 03.
Again I contacted them via costomer support and told them they had 24 hours to credit my account or I would start reporting them wherever I could and to who I could. They sent me an email and asked that I call them again. I called on 11/14/03 and was told the same thing again.
They admitted they did wrong. They credited my account the $29.95. I am glad for that. But I am still out $30.00 and they are the fault for that. I get Social Security Disability Benefits and can't afford these kind of mistakes to my account. I had to jump through my ass to get the money to cover their mistake and they are not willing to do anything about it. I have never in my life dealt with such rude, crude, insenceitive, rotton people in my life. I am 48 years old and dealth with alot. This beats them all.
