On November 7 a charge of $96 appeared on my credit card account from a company I've never heard of. My credit card activity report listed them as "JP MEDIA LTD. 888-548-1032 GBR"
My credit card company said the information transmitted to them was that JP Media Ltd. Was a pharmacy in Great Britain. I called the 888 number and a man said the $96 charge was for a subscription to a discount web shopping club known as cybershop1.com. He said to go to the web site and get the phone number to call them. I did and got an answering machine.
I sent an email advising them of the fraudulent charge and that I had disputed it. I'll be placing a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission after leaving consumer complaints.com.
