I was sent a bill from Alyon Technologies stating that I have used internet services from my home telephone line. I know for sure that accusation is absurd, because no one was home at the alleged time of use!
I called the company, explaining that there has to be some mistake. The lady on the other end seemed very well rehearsed in her speech that "goods or services must have been used, our company makes no mistakes... There are records of use. Blah blah blah!"
I told her about his website, usacomplaints.com, and about my filing a report with the Georgia BBB... She seemed very nonchalant and a voice in the background told her exactly what to say. I told her I was disputing the bill and she got a big attitude towards me. Which I did not appreciate.
To say the least I was appalled. I could not believe I was a subject to this type of (censored). Just recently, I recieved a collections notice from Merchant's Credit Guide Co. How come in the letter they state so much about "if you dispute the validity of the bill..." and try to press onto me that they are a very licensed, very legal company??? I guess SOME or MORE of us have questioned their intents.
I have read several reports on this site to not pay them a single cent, which I will follow. I am in the process of contacting the collections company to cease the order of collections on this account because the claim is not valid.
If it does not stop there, I am planning to go to the media, and the police will be involved as in the other cases I have read on this site. It seems that most of these cases are from the South, and the East Coast... Am I the starting trend to the Pacific Northwest? Let's hope not.
