In January I chose straight2you.net as my isp. They advertised their buy one get ine free offer so I paid for a full year in advance and was assured I would have my second year free.
In March my credit card was charged for another years service. I contacted them and was assured by Anthony that I'd receive a refund, in fact he told me that he put it through while he put me on hold. Didn't happen.
Instead in April, May, June, and July I was billed another $13.00 per month. When I spoke with "eric" who claimed Anthony was never in the office due to "other projects", I was assured once once again that credits would be issued. I asked if he could e-mail me a receipt, which he willingly did. If course the receipts were phoney, no credits went through but at least it kept me off the phone bothering them.
I spoke with Anthony one last time. He told me he called his bank while I was on hold and transferred funds directly to my credit card. He then gave me his "personal" telephone number in case I had any other problems. No credits, the phone number was a fake. It was a residential telephone of which the resident has had for twenty years.
On October 2nd my credit card was charged again, I didn't bother to call. I e-mailed them and was once again assured that I would be credited, I wasn't. The next e-mail from them stated it was the fault of my credit card company, that is a lie! They no longer answer my e-mails, this will probably end up in court.
I've closed that account now, a major inconvenience. I've run up my phone bill using their non toll free number hoping to find someone truthful, and I won't even go into the months they owe me for referrals and their guarantee of no busy signals. This experience has been a nightmare, especially since their service, at one time, was exceptional.
