Wildtangent has this thing called the Wildclub, where the games that came factory installed on the computer are free to try for a time or two, then the option to buy is there at a reduced price, PROVIDED that you join their Wildclub, which is a subscription. At the lowest price, $6.99 is charged for the selected game, then another $6.99 comes out of the checking/debit account EVERY MONTH FOR 12 MONTHS, in exchange for 50 wildcoins that can be used to play or buy more games. HOWEVER, ONCE YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP, Wildtangent will not let you spend your online wildcoins balance on new games for outright purchase, you can only spend them on a per-play basis, which is ludicrous and fraudulent. They are basically rendering your legal tender into non-legal tender, and I have filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and my next step is to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office. This kind of entrapment is a form of blackmail, where they won't let you spend your online balance of wildcoins on the outright purchase of one of their games without a new membership. So, unless you like long, drawn out expensive commitments, BOYCOTT WILDTANGENT AND THEIR GAMES.
All I and many other people who have been ripped off want to see is the option to purchase a game with UNSPENT, ONLINE WILDCOINS without buying a new subscription. It will take many complaints, all the way up the chain, until they change their questionable sales practices.
