Facebook also disabled my account for no reason, and in fact they will not even reply to my request to explain why. I have a high profile name and provided them with all the information that they required. They finally let me open an account with them for about 4 weeks, then without any notice they disabled the account. I have sent them several emails, which they have totally ignored.
During the few weeks that I was able to get on Facebook, I saw a lot of names that I can assure you were not real names. However, I think the reason they disabled my account is my name. I did nothing on Facebook that any other Facebook member was not doing, except that I did not play their games, so maybe that is why they removed me. I would think that they could at least be professional and explain why they disabled my account. But they will not even do that, as I have sent several emails to which I have received no reply. So for whatever reason, they have made a decision without being accountable to anybody. I personally feel that this is inappropriate behavior for an American company, as everyone should have the right to defend their case.
As I read tonight about other issues, Facebook is not held accountable, and they pick and choose who may use their service. They let people join who are not using their real name. They let some advertise and not others. If you don't play their stupid FarmVille game, they disable your account. They make claims about members annoying other members, but in the few weeks I was on, I had to reject about 10 to 20 of these invites every day.
Facebook is run by a bunch of cons because they operate without accountability to anyone. I would hope that someone would check out this company and make them follow the laws that make our country so great, that we are innocent until proven guilty and have the right to defend ourselves before we are convicted. This is not the way Facebook is being used. They, and only they, make decisions, and we do not have the right to defend ourselves.
