I contracted with Netsuite a few years ago and will probably never get the $37,500 i paid them to waste my time and never implement the project. I was simply going to sue their a... They certainly deserve it, unfortunately as i found out it will take me more to sue them then I will probably ever get back. So I've wanted to let others know my horrible experience and simply have never found the time to do it. So here i go. I hope it at least gives me some satisfaction.
I contracted with Netsuite for 36 moths of service which included implementation for $75,000. The amount was suppose to be prior to going live.
The first issue:
I sent $37,500 (thank the lord I did not send the whole $75,000) If you do contract with these jokers... DO NOT pay them upfront!
Their accountant requested I pay the whole thing. I explained that they had shuffled me back in their production line a few months. And i saw no reason to send them the other $37,500 until they had me live... This guy (Sam Glass) in accounting without proper notice and in complete violation of their contract shut the project down. I was furious and the so where the other staff members at Netsuite working on the project. Apparently they pleaded their case and mine and this guy turned it back on and we lost almost an entire month with that ordeal. Do you really want these guys in charge of your business and lively hood!
I should have ran right then! I'm sure Netsuite would have still stolen the money. But anyway I had probably 100 -150 hours or more of my programmers time in preparing all the data for them and I really liked the product so I stuck it, I demanded a date for implementation and reluctantly they provided a date. We did everything they asked, we devoted a lot of time and energy!
They still missed the date.
I extended the Date to October 1st, not only did they miss the date but now they came up with issues with their webservices. Saying their webservices was not ready with all of the required field stop perform the implementation, we looked at work arounds like an ODBC connection. There they wanted $7500 a year for an ODBC connection. Can you believe that! And it was their lie saying it was capable in the beginning and it wasn't. Even then it was not even bi-directional and was not going to work... We were effectively stuck!
They failed to meet the October 1st date, I gave them a grace until the 15th, and then pulled the plug and asked for my money back and they refused saying they had implementation time into the project and they could implement without the required features and deal with them at sometime in the future. When I asked. They replied we don't know but probably 6 -18 months. It was not acceptable so I requested the money account and they simply refused. I was out a tremendous amount of time and effort, a lot more time was spent on our side preparing data, etc, then they spent implementing and regardless they should not be promising what they can't deliver. They should have had a talk with their sales rep Sharon Lobo if they didn't like what was happening!
