We discovered Gamehouse had been making regular $5.99 deductions from our credit card. We had bought games from them before. We find that we had unintentionally signed up for a year subscription at 5.99 per month. Neither myself nor my wife had known we had done this.
I contacted Gamehouse stating I thought they obfuscated the price of games on their site, which we both thought was totally confusing. They responded saying we had signed up to a commitment and although we could cancel, the full annual amount would then be debited. What sort of cancellation is that? They are not out of pocket in any way!
We are both well educated people and feel we have been tricked. I saw the report by 'trisailor' and thought 'snap'. They have had the same experience. Even after reviewing the gamehouse site, I find it totally unclear what I get for the money.
