Will not stop taking monthly payments out of my checking account

I have tried on several occassions to stop AOL from taking money out of my account with no success. I don't even use their service and cannot remember even requesting it. How can I stop them... I have just retired have not started receiving any income and am now in danger of loosing my home and car. So I am canceling all luxury items out of my outgoing payments.
