I purchased a new with tags BCBG Applique Dress for my wedding in May from eBay seller savvyoasis in late May. I received it and compared it to the Nordstrom website and there were a few things slightly off about it. The dress is back ordered until August, yet the one received has a clearance tag on it. The tags are in odd positions (I worked for 10 years in retail and used to shop at Nordstrom). I took it to my local BCBG stand alone store. The assistant manager looked at it and stated the following:
"The taffeta is too thin" She showed me a dress that was their taffeta. Theirs is significantly better quality.
"The style tag is missing." "The mesh is cheap." Again, she showed me theirs, and theirs is thicker. "The size measurements are inaccurate" "The zipper has been re done on this fabric"
She wrote me a letter stating all the above information.
I currently live in the Nashville area. We have no Nordstrom, where the seller stated he purchased the item from, in bulk, and has tags from Nordstrom. I waited to say anything to the seller because I went on a business trip to Atlanta (this is where the closest Nordstrom to Nashville is located) last week and went to Nordstrom with the dress. Nordstrom also looked at the dress and said the dress has never been on clearance, they can't keep it stocked, they would not have sold any item that had holes (from the zipper) but sent it back to the manufacturer, and the tags were not correctly placed. I have a letter from them also.
I got home yesterday and opened a claim with PayPal. This is the contact with the seller so far.

I took dress to BCBG in Nashville, TN and Nordstrom in Atlanta, GA and both confirmed it as a fake. I have letters from both stores stating such. Will gladly forward to PayPal

the dress is not fake and was bought from nordstrom in bulk as were all my items. If you had a problem with it why did you wait almost a month to tell me. The dress is definatly authentic and i think you wore it and now want to return it.

I waited a month until I went to Atlanta for a business trip to have Nordstrom look at it as there isn't one in the Nashville area. If it is authentic, why is Nordstrom AND BCBG saying it's fake??? Event that I was planning on wearing it to is 10 months away. All the tags attached are still attached exactly as they were when it was received.
Today, I contacted Nordstrom and used their online chat. The Customer Service Rep. Stated Erik Acosta or anyone living at his address has never ordered anything from Nordstrom in bulk and anything purchased in bulk is not allowed to be resold. It is for gifts or personal use only.
I will be escalating case and allowing PayPal to handle from here.
Do not buy from this seller!!! Items are fakes!!!
