I saw a one page add on 'Small Business Opportunities magazine' about owning an online superstore. On their website www.ecxstores.com they say that you can make money from day one. They say also that with the program they include marketing programs and free consultation. This consultation is just sales pitch to get you to buy more products from them. When you call them they tell you that you can pay $2000 up front or you can pay $200 now and $99 for 36 months. Before I signed up this guy Bruce Witkin would call me every hour just about, telling me that within a few days I could be making $600/day.
After I signed up, he stopped calling me and also stopped answering my emails. I told Bruce that I wanyed to use my PaYPal merchant account, Not theirs. That Never happened I was billed $295.00 per year for theirs. They give you 3 days to get out of the contract. Meanwhile they tell you that is going to take four days to build your website. So by the time your website is built and they tell you, you have to pay over $1000 for marketing it's too late to get out of the contract. When I finally got a hold of him, I asked him how he would start marketing my site, he told me that I would have to sign up for an over $1000 marketing program. Needless to say the marketing of the site is the expensive part. I don't want to sign up for the marketing program, since I feel I have been told lies time and time again by this company. I have tried to cancel the hole thing, but was told I would have to do a buy-out for the store and merchant account.
