I am also a victim of Jason Becker and his deceptive marketing practices. I saw a one page add on small opportunity magazine' about owning an online superstore. On their website www.ecxstores.com they claim that you can make money from day one. They also claim that with the program they include marketing programs and free consultations. This is just sales pitch to get you to sign the contract.
They tell you that you can pay $2000 up front or you can pay $200 now and $99 for 36 months. Before I signed up this guy Jason would call me every hour just about, telling me that within a few days I could be making $600/day. Originally he made so many promises such as making business cards, and brochures; since I am an e-bay store owner; he claimed that they have e-bay stores compatibility software.
After I signed up, he stopped calling me, when I called he was busy to answer my call and also stopped answering my E-mails. He gave me 3 days to get out of the contract. Meanwhile they tell you that it is going to take four days to build your website. He also said that I will receive a package with in 24 hrs. The package came after 10 days and it took them 7 days to get the web site up with many problems, non of the functions of the site's manager was working, and the prices were higher than retail stores.
After the website was built, and I have signed the contract he told me, that I have to pay $1,300.00 for marketing program package which originally, he had assured my wife and I that it is included in the original contract.
I told him that I don't want to sign up for the marketing program, since I feel I have been told lies time and time again by this him, immediately, he dropped the package price down to $600.00 and in the package that I received from them has it for $499.00
Knowing what a crook Jason and this company is I decided to cancel all agreements including the $99 per month. So far they have gotten the $199.00 from me only and I think they should refund my money.
If anyone knows of a law firm that would take this case, I will participate in A class action law suite. We need to get together and stop these people.
