I started my relationship with Focus Learning (focuslc) in April, and like the other people posting complaints about this company, I "invested" $5,600 for the website and marketing and now cannot get a copy of my invoice. The coaching team is telling me I should have received a copy when I originally signed the contract, stupidly I didn't ask for it at the time. The coaching team is also telling me that the sales department is completely seperate from the coaching team, they are sending requests to the sales department, but they can do nothing else for me. I did request a copy of the contract and still haven't received that either. They DO NOT pay for any marketing under the Gold Package, the small amount of marketing they do for you is all free directly postings, you can do this yourself.
Focus Learning talked me into signing up with a dropship directory company of their choice, they advised me that I should sign up for the lifetime membership, $599. Don't do this, pay for the monthly membership, once you pick your niche you really don't need the dropship directory again, unless you need to change suppliers. Also, it is easy to find suppliers without this company.
They leave you out in the cold when you are trying to choose a "niche" market. They don't explain to you that this will be your life from now on. I chose something that seemed like it could be profitable, but I knew nothing about the products and don't find it interesting. It is something my 13 year old nephew is interested in. Don't do this, I wish they would have explained this to me, make sure you pick something that you know about and are interested in. I now have to learn about my niche in order to write articles and answer questions, again, make sure it is something you are interested in.
Another problem I had was getting the names of Merchant Account companies to use for my website from the coaching team, I got tired of waiting and signed up with a company on my own, only to find out that the one I picked is not compatable with Lightwave Builders, however, if I pay an additional $100 to my merchant account company they can sign me up with another company they deal with that is compatable. I still am not using my merchant account for my website, I am paying the monthy charge of $70 to a company that I am not utilizing because, in order to cancel I have to pay a $300 early cancellation fee that I can't afford to pay because I am not selling anything!
There is no money left to pay for marketing my website because I paid it all to a company that claims they will do the marketing for you. I was told, the more you pay, the more marketing you get for your website and the more marketing the more you sell... Lies, Lies, Lies. I am still fighting with them, I will keep you updated on how I make out.
